Kit List

Different cyclists have different kit preferences and combinations so a single definitive list of kit is tricky.  Based on the route, which includes a few high Cols, and typical weather for September we have compiled a list based on the kit we will take with us.

We don’t have unlimited luggage space.  From our collective experience the best bag for a trip like this is something like the medium size North Face duffel bag. This has a 70 ltr capacity which should be fine for all your kit and casual clothing.  We are guessing most people will have a carry on bag too.  It would be helpful for us if this was a lap top bag / courier case and not a big wheelie one.

For the ride we will give everyone at registration the following:

Item Quantity Note
Day Bag 1 Nothing very special! Just a canvass bag with a draw string. It is big enough to stuff bits and pieces into that you may need to access during the day. Your main bags will not be accessible between hotels.
Jersey 1 We will provide one tour Jersey. This will be a good quality 'race fitted jersey.  We think they are a nice design which you will want to wear after the Tour too!.
